The Estes Astrocam is the single stage rocket with 110 single shot film camera. These are from a couple hundred feet up.

Cineroc

The Estes Cineroc (posed with Joey P) is the classic two stage-lifted super 8 motion picture film camera payload. Made only briefly in the early 1970’s, it shoots about 25 seconds of real film through a lens looking back down between the fins as the rocket rises to about 500 feet and over to parachute deployment.

Cineroc highlights


Design

Here are some custom rockets, as well as hacked kits (modifying an off-the-shelf kit). The Mustard Rocket is from a real countertop squirt bottle. The Polka Dot Rocs are modified Quarks with a helicopter recovery deployed by an ejected engine wire.
