Don't turn your back on The Goat Family.
Formed in 2003 by filmmakers Rock Ross and Micheal Rosas-Walsh, an informal jug-jam has blossomed into what is now known as The Goat Family. We play acoustic music that takes the Jug Band genre as a starting point and then dismantles it and reassembles it into some sort of pop hybird. Call it alt-jug.
All We Need is finally available. Four years in the making, our second cd is packed with 16 original songs spanning a baffling array of styles. Visit www.goatfamily.com for the latest news and sneak previews. And see the store here for cd purchase.
Unstopperable is the first cd by the band and it features foot-tapping favorites such as Ring Of Fire and Death Letter Blues and original compositions such as Jolly Young World and That's What My Mommie Said.
Sample track 1 - Slide Rule Blues, written by Michael Rosas-Walsh.
